Limits

The languages you are studying will affect search results. This is mainly for readability on any given page, as well as protecting database querying results from a million subqueries on each request.

We manly limit notebooks because of language and page limits. We don't think it makes sense to have unlimited notebooks but a limit on pages or people could find themselves in a position where they could only have a handful of notes per notebook (e.g. 10 notes each for 25 notebooks)

A simply a cap so that we don't accidentally reach our storage limits by a few bad actors. We doubt many people will reach 250grammar pages anytime soon honestly pursuing language learning. That's a lot of content to write quickly.

This is a per-page limit, roughly equivalent to ~7,000-12,000 words, a small novella. The reason the word count varies is because mark-up data like tables and color (to name a few), takes up data space even though it doesn't reflect in the ‘word count’ of the page. The limit may be adjusted (probably upwards), but we didn't want to start high and have to reduce later.
